Hawaii Lawmakers Pass Bill on Sunscreen Ingredients

Legislation banning sale of products with two major chemicals waits for Governor's signature.

Legislators in Hawaii have passed Senate Bill 2571, which would prohibit the sale and distribution of OTC sunscreens containing oxybenzone and octinoxate, two ingredients that many advocates contend are damaging coral reefs and ocean life.   As of this news post, Hawaii Gov.
